So laugh all you want by one of the highlights of my summer is going to Buffalo Wild Wings. The company goes every Thursday and my kids especially LOVE it! My 6 year old will lie down and take a nap no questions asked to make it to wings!? We did it all last summer and I realized I never took a picture!! So here are a few at Buffalo Wild Wings!
This year during "homework time" I had my kids write 4 things they were thankful for in areas of this country that they are familiar with. So Montana, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, and California.
Brynley LOVED Colorado last summer and had so many things she wanted to list just from there I had her generalize. Her list was #1 Colorado. She took a little while to think and finished the rest quickly
#2 Mountains in Montana
#3 Utah and Idaho to visit her Grandmas, Grandpas and Cousins
#4 California, for Disneyland. She said if she was already thankful for it that it had to be a for sure thing we went! Sneaky girl!
Gage made his dad proud
#1 Elk
#2 Bighorn Sheep
#3 The Mountains
#4 Idaho for Grandpas and Grandmas and Utah for Aunt Katrina. And Kat don't get too excited, it's not really fair when you own more "cars" toys than my son does! ;)
I really want my kids grow up appreciating how blessed they really are for so many things, their freedom included. But kids learn better by example than being told and that is unfortunate this year. I was a little grouchy this independence day. A little self pity not being close to home for 2 years in a row for the 4th and all the fun family get-togethers as well as the life of being a "single" mom out here had gotten to me. I was a little (or maybe a lot) short with Cody, for who knows why and didn't set the best mood for the holiday. We did have a nice evening. A company bbq down at the pool and went to see the fireworks. As we were watching the fireworks I looked around and saw my wonderful husband laughing and playing with our kids. It brought a tear to my eye. I am so truly blessed to be married to the man that I am and I could not love my kids more if I tried! I am so mad that I had my glass half empty that day and I hope it didn't make too much of an impression on my young kids. I want them to grow up celebrating our country's independence just I as did, full of love laughter, family, friends and food! Happy 4th all!
Jaxy a little glazed over... We had to wake her up to go watch the fireworks
Cody and I were married on Jan 8, 2005 and couldn't be happier. In these 5 years we have been blessed with three beautiful children. Brynley Lin is 5, Gage James is 3, and Jaxyn Rose is 1! Our life may be a little crazy but we're a family and we can endure anything together!
